Vacation notes.

Kaliningrad. As you sow.

Arseniy at the mic. In previous episodes, our heroes left early and drove to Sheremetyevo by car sharing, got nervous, lost a lot of time on transponder gates and road interchanges, and now are running with bags to the shuttle.

The shuttle transfer between terminals and the long ramp consume the last bits of time we no longer had anyway. Passport control, security screening. We stop by a cafe to buy a snack. Time to pay. I make the usual left-hand move that normally makes a bank card appear in my hand. No card. I try again. Same result. Two more attempts to find the card in its usual place in the bag fail. The storm caused by that butterfly wing flap finally hits us.

The problem is not even the bank card. The whole pack of documents is missing, including driver’s license. Everything was in one document holder. We planned a large cultural program heavily tied to renting a car.

A call to Alina’s phone: everyone in the plane is already seated, waiting for us. As the classics said, "During this course Miles realized that not making a decision is often worse than making the wrong one." I strongly suggest Alina and Vlad fly, while I stay and deal with documents. Provocative questions come in: "What if you do not find them?" But there is no time to talk, and we split up.

From this point, the story splits into two streams running in parallel, occasionally crossing each other.
