Kaliningrad. Things speed up.
Arseniy at the mic. In previous episodes, our heroes left early and drove to Sheremetyevo by car sharing.
The first clouds on the horizon appeared after we passed Dolgoprudny and tried to get through automatic gates. As we learned later, we should not have squeezed into transponder lanes when card-payment lanes were right next to them. Minus 15 minutes from our buffer: driving back and forth, trying to shout to a gate employee. Already nervous, attention scattered, trying to tap a bank card where a transponder was expected, we finally got through.
A cold breeze came when we asked: "Where can we leave a car-sharing car in Sheremetyevo?" Answer: at a different terminal, and from there we need a shuttle to ours - another minus 15 minutes. One hour twenty minus fifteen, minus fifteen leaves fifty minutes of buffer.
The first cold drops down the neck came when we discovered that access roads to Sheremetyevo parking look like a plate of pasta, and out of about ten exits only one leads to the garage where you can leave car sharing. Three honor laps around the garage took another half hour. And there we were, highly stressed, with just 15 minutes left, finally parked.
Unload the car. Thorough checks not to forget anything. Overheated, we slam the doors, finish the rental in the app, and run out of the garage. I ask Alina and Vlad very carefully whether they forgot anything, and ask them to double-check all their stuff. Thunder rolls in the distance. Escaping the garage eats the rest of our time. We run with all bags and zero time reserve.
