Jermuk. Baghaberd Restaurant.
It's with a heavy heart that I sit down to write this post. Most likely, after it we'll lose a subscriber.
At the "Moscow" sanatorium where we stayed in Jermuk, the cafeteria is quite good. Back in Yerevan we really miss exactly this kind of place, where you can eat dietary food. But after four days the body starts demanding something fatty and fried. Shashlik!
On our walks along Jermuk's main street, we'd long ago spotted a little restaurant cozily set near a tributary of the Jermuk river, and this time we made an executive decision - we skipped dinner at the sanatorium and visited this restaurant.
To get to "Baghaberd" you go down a staircase. You can hear the roar of water rushing down from the mountains. As we approached, a light drizzle began, so only I went to walk around the grounds with the camera.
The little video is that very tributary of the Jermuk. The yellow door in the white wall and the window in the turret of a medieval castle - that's the restaurant's main building. Besides it, there are also cozy little cabins a bit further off.
Besides being a very picturesque spot, the food lived up to all our expectations. Two portions of shashlik - pork and lamb - were plenty for the three of us. The lemonade, grilled vegetables, tea and gata also delighted us.
Now about the subscriber. As we were leaving, we mentioned that we run a channel and would definitely leave a review of the restaurant in it. That very evening a subscriber appeared. We're small, so for us this is a big event. Between ourselves we discussed it and decided that someone is waiting for the review. And will then immediately unsubscribe. Well, here it is - the review. A positive one. Stay with us, we'll write something else!
