Sevan

So, our spontaneous trip turned out to be very eventful and memorable for just a day and a half. Let’s go in order. Today’s post is about the hotel where we stayed: Tsovasar Family Rest Complex.

We booked a room with a kitchen-living area, bedroom, and balcony overlooking Sevan. Weather at Sevan at this time was very pleasant: sunny, calm during the day, air temperature 20-22°C, water around 19°C. Our impressions of the hotel:

✍ Friendly staff.
✍ Nice territory with equipped access to the lake and a small beach.
✍ Tasty breakfasts (omelet, cheeses, rolls, sausages, pancakes, cottage cheese, yogurt). Good variety, everything fresh and tasty.
✍ You can have lunch or dinner in the restaurant. Menu is tasty and varied, mostly Armenian cuisine. A full dinner for three cost us 20,000 dram including service charge.
✍ The territory has many gazebos, benches, and lounge areas with sunbeds. There is also a place for barbecue. Price was 36,000 dram per night. In our view, price matches quality.

Since our channel is also about Armenian language, let’s look at the word Ծովասար (Tsovasar). It consists of two parts: Ծով (tsov) means "sea" and սար (sar) means "mountain." Together it gives "sea mountain."
