What to do on the weekend
Sevan
This time Arseniy is at the mic. We thought for a long time whether to go or not, kept deciding and re-deciding, and finally hit the road. We are heading north to Lake Sevan. It is not just 58 kilometers north, it is also an ascent into the mountains. Vegetation and climate change completely. Often this trip feels like traveling between seasons, like in the fairy tale "The Twelve Months." This time it was simply from extremely hot summer into a summer already leaning toward autumn. In Yerevan it is 35°C, at Sevan it is 20°C. We escaped city traffic and drove along the familiar route past the silver eagle and the bottle factory office-church. On the right is an extinct volcano we still have not reached, though we really want to. Evening, terminal hour. It is still light, but lights along the road begin to glow: shops, mining sites.
We are taking my wetsuit out for a walk, it previously saw the Manaraga river in the Urals. Alina found an interesting place where we will try renting some equipment.
