Tsaghkadzor. Up to the top.

So, the previous post ended with us riding the lift upward. Attentive viewers might ask: "Who took that photo?" It was not Vlad, but a decent pro photographer who is part of the Upper-World ecosystem.

This ecosystem is very clearly designed to extract money from overfed tourists. It includes several cafes, a photographer at the end of the cable line, and, attention... quad-bike drivers.

The lift we took did not bring us to the very top. There was still a long way up. We started climbing but gave up after about ten minutes, seeing how tiny our progress was compared to the remaining route. I like the idea: go up by lift, then walk to the summit. But to execute it, you need to budget half a day and bring water, maybe snacks too.

Ah yes, quad-bike drivers. We set our internal threshold at 15,000 dram (about 3,500 rubles). They started talking about 30,000 for the ascent, and we decided it was not worth it.

We happily climbed around this dark structure. It is an unfinished something, probably a hotel. In its current state: ruins with luxurious valley and mountain views.

Graffiti-covered walls and stunning scenery. Also an option to ride horses.
